Abstract:
Objectives: The aim of the study is to determine some bio-active
compounds in Garid5 used in traditional medicine.
Materials and Methods: We used Garid-5 produced in Drug
Manufacture of Traditional Medical Science, Technology and
Production Corporation of Mongolia. Biological active compounds
were determined by using thin-layer chromatography. The total
content of phenolic compounds was determined by
Folin–Ciocalteu’s method.
Results and conclusions: Several bio-active substances including
gallic acid, αazarone, costunolid, alkaloids and testosterone were
detected. Total alkaloid and phenolic contents of Garid-5 were 0.01
% and 24 % respectively.
