Abstract:
Introduction: Scabiosa comosa Fisch flos which was recorded in
Encyclopedia of Mongolian Medicine is commonly used in clinic.
It has efficacy of febrifuge and eliminating “XieRi”. Scabiosa
comosa Fisch flos is primarily used for the treatment of hepatic
warm, liver injury poisoning and fleshless disease. However, it is
hard to assure the quality of the medicine because there is no
systemic qualitative standard for its manufacture now. According
to the reference, luteolin and apigenin in Mongolian Medicine
Scabiosa comosa Fisch flos was determined by HPLC in this
paper. Results showed that the method was advanced and
reliable, so it provided scientific basis for the establishment of
quality control of the medicine.
Objective: To establish the standard of quality control of
Mongolian medicine Scabiosa comosa Fisch flos.
Methods: Luteolin and apigenin in Mongolian Medicine Scabiosa
comosa Fisch flos from different origin was determined by
HPLC. The column was Dimaonsil-C18 (250mm ×4.6mm,5µm),
column temperature was 30 ℃, the flow phase was acetonitrile-
0.4% phosphoric acid in water (34:66) and the detection
wavelength was 350nm. The flow rate: 1.0 ml/min, sample: 10
µl.
Results: The linear ranges of luteolin was 66 ~ 396
ng,r=0.9998, apigenin was 93 ~ 558 ng,r=0.9996. The average
recovery rate of luteolin was 100.96% (RSD=1.42%), apigenin
was 101.67% (RSD=1.81%).
Conclusion: The method was simple, accurate, reliable and
reproducible. It provided a basis for quality control of Mongolian
medicine Scabiosa comosa Fisch flos.
