Abstract: To discuss the clinical feature and treatment strategies of a patient diagnosed with type Ⅰa glycogen storage disease(GSD) at 3 months of age, and later developed type 2 diabetes at 18 years old. GSD Ⅰa is a rare disease characterized by severe fasting hypoglycaemia. During the treatment, excessive focus on correcting hypoglycemia by the patient, family, and healthcare providers can lead to misdiagnosis and mistreatment of concurrent diabetes, which requires attention from clinicians.
