Abstract:
OBJECTIVE:To deve lop an assay for ofloxacin and ephedrine in ofloxacin and ephedrine nasal drops. METHODS:A RP-HPLC methods was practised on a hypersil ODS column with a mobile phase of methanol-10g/L ammonium acetate in water(1:1),which pH w as adjuested to 6.0 with phosphoric acid.Chloramphenicol was used as the interna l standand,UV detection was performed at 256nm.REULTS:The standand c urves for ofloxacin and ephedrine were linear in the range of 20~100μg/ml(r=0.9999,n=5),100~1000μg/ml(r=0.9999,n=5),respectively. Th e average recoveries of ofloxacin and ephedrine were 99.5%,101.5% respectively. CONCLUSION:The method was convenient,rapid and accurate.
