Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of typical medical dispute cases in nursing safety education for junior nurses. Methods:In January 2022, convenience sampling was used to select 182 junior nurses working in the Emergency General Hospital for special training on nursing safety education. According to the random number table method, the nurses were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 91 in each group. The control group adopted traditional teaching, while the observation group received typical medical dispute case teaching. The training effectiveness was evaluated using the Chinese Safety Attitudes Questionnaire and the Patient Safety Nurse Competency Evaluation Scale. Results:A total of 89 nurses in the control group and 88 nurses in the observation group completed this study. After training, the total scores of nurses' safety attitudes, patient safety competency, and scores of various dimensions in both groups were higher than those before training, and those of observation group were higher than those of control group, with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The typical medical dispute case teaching in nursing safety education for junior nurses can improve nurses' awareness of safety attitudes and enhance their competence in patient safety.
