Abstract:
Contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)has no ionizing radiation,no nephrotoxicity but high safety,with advantages of real-time imaging and so on,being suitable for observation and follow-up for genitourinary system diseases in children.Transvenous CEUS has good ability for observation on microcirculatory perfusion,which can be used to evaluate and follow up focal renal lesions,transplanted kidneys,renal traumatism,etc.,while transurethra or transbladder CEUS can display the morphology of urinary tract,which can be used to detect congenital genitourinary abnormalities.The application progresses of CEUS in common genitourinary system diseases in children were reviewed in this article.
