Abstract:
Objective:To systematically evaluate domestic and foreign elderly-oriented home environment assessment tools, so as to provide a basis for selecting appropriate elderly-oriented home environment assessment tool.Methods:The literatures on elderly-oriented home environment assessment tools in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, China Biology Medicine disc, CNKI, Wanfang Database and VIP database were searched by computer. The search period was from establishment of the database to March 31, 2022. The methodological quality of elderly-oriented home environment assessment tools included in the literature was evaluated using consensus-based standards for the selection of health measurement instruments (COSMIN) .Results:A total of 21 articles were included, including 12 elderly-oriented home environment assessment tools. As assessed by COSMIN, The Home Falls and Accidents Screening Tool (HOME FAST) and Home Fall Hazards Assessments (HFHA) had high reliability assessments and relatively good assessment results.Conclusions:Most elderly-oriented home environment assessment tools are self rating questionnaires, with varying quality. In the future, it is necessary to develop a elderly-oriented home environment assessment tool that is suitable for national conditions of China and has good reliability and validity.
