Abstract:
Objective:To explore the correlation between filial piety values and care response in children of advanced gastric cancer patients. Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, a total of 189 children of advanced gastric cancer patients who were hospitalized in two ClassⅢ Grade A hospitals in Tianjin from January to May 2022 were selected as the research objects. Failial Piety Values Scale (FPVS) and Caregiver Reaction Assessment (CRA) were used to investigate the children of patients with advanced cancer. Results:The FPVS and CRA scores of 189 children of advanced gastric cancer patients were (60.66±3.21) and (76.39±12.46) , respectively. The results of univariate analysis showed that the age and residence status of children of advanced gastric cancer patients, age of the patients themselves and the degree of disease awareness were the influencing factors for the care response of children of advanced gastric cancer patients ( P<0.05) . Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of FPVS in children of advanced gastric cancer patients was negatively correlated with the total score of CRA ( r=-0.200, P<0.01) . Conclusions:The higher the level of filial piety values in the children of patients with advanced gastric cancer, the more significant their positive experience of care. Clinical work should focus on the care response of children of advanced gastric cancer patients, take measures to intervene early, enhance their positive feelings and sense of value in care, reduce their care burden, improve their negative experience in filial piety and improve the quality of patient care.
