Abstract:
Sarcopenia is a disease characterized by age-related muscle mass reduction and functional decline. Animal experiments play a crucial role in studying the pathogenesis of sarcopenia. The correct selection of experimental animals is fundamental for establishing accurate animal models. Currently, there is no systematic summary of research on the selection of experimental animals for sarcopenia studies. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the selection of experimental animals for sarcopenia research to provide insights for future research in this area.
