Abstract:
Objective:To explore the status quo and influencing factors of stigma in young patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods:From September 2021 to February 2022, 313 young patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis who were treated and registered in Kashgar, Xinjiang, were selected by convenience sampling. The General Information Questionnaire, Tuberculosis-related Stigma Scale and Tuberculosis Medication Adherence Scale were used to investigate the patients. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of stigma of young patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis. Results:The total score of stigma of 313 young patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis was (47.84±7.55) . Multiple linear regression analysis showed that gender, education level, clinical symptoms, doctor-patient communication and social support were the influencing factors of the stigma of young patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Young patients with newly diagnosed tuberculosis in Kashgar, Xinjiang, have a strong stigma. Medical and nursing staff should focus on women and patients with low education, strengthen doctor-patient communication, popularize disease-related knowledge, and actively mobilize their social support.
