Effects of "321" health education combined with WeChat check-in supervision in elderly maintenance hemodialysis patients

Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of "321" health education combined with WeChat check-in supervision in elderly maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients.Methods:From January 2019 to December 2020, 120 elderly MHD patients who received hemodialysis treatment in Hai'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected as research objects by convenient sampling. According to dialysis time, 60 patients were divided into observation group (January to December 2020) and control group (January to December 2019) . The control group was given routine health education, and the observation group was given "321" health education combined with WeChat check-in supervision. The self-management behavior and quality of life of the two groups were compared after a 6-month follow-up.Results:Finally, 57 cases in the observation group and 54 cases in the control group completed the study. After six months of follow-up, the scores of diet and liquid intake, physical activity, psychological emotion, therapeutic behavior and the total score of self-management behavior in the observation group were (37.13±6.12) , (12.35±2.45) , (16.12±3.24) , (15.23±2.44) and (80.83±10.25) , respectively, higher than those in the control group, with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . The scores of physical symptoms, fatigue, depression, relationship with others, frustration and the total score of quality of life in the observation group were (29.52±6.15) , (32.43±6.56) , (26.45±6.23) , (32.16±6.45) , (11.15±2.36) , (131.71±15.23) , respectively, higher than those in the control group, with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:"321" health education combined with WeChat check-in supervision can promote the self-management behavior of elderly MHD patients and improve their quality of life.
