Abstract:
With the acceleration of the aging process, the number of hip and knee arthroplasty in the elderly population is growing rapidly. Joint arthroplasty has become the best method to treat terminal hip and knee diseases. However, the incidence of functional constipation in elderly patients after hip and knee arthroplasty is increasing year by year, which affects the physical and mental health of patients, leading to decreased rehabilitation compliance and prolonged hospitalization, seriously affecting the surgical effect and prognosis. This article summarizes the influencing factors and interventions of functional constipation in elderly patients after hip and knee arthroplasty in current domestic and foreign studies, with a view to providing reference for clinical nursing practice.
