Abstract: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the common complications during pregnancy, which brings different degrees of short-term and long-term harm to the health of both mothers and babies. GDM prevention has attracted extensive attention in recent years. However, there is no unified conclusion about the optimal intervention timing, measures and methods for GDM prevention, and the intervention effects are also different. This article reviews the theoretical basis, intervention timing, measures and methods of GDM prevention, so as to provide a reference for clinical nurses to carry out early prevention and explore new intervention models of GDM prevention.
