Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of psychological intervention based on Rosenthal effect in esophageal cancer patients with chemotherapy. Methods:From July 2018 to October 2020, 95 patients with esophageal cancer who received chemotherapy in Jiangsu Cancer Hospital were selected as the research object by convenience sampling. The patients were divided into the experimental group (48 cases) and the control group (47 cases) by random number table method. The control group was given routine health education and psychological intervention, while the experimental group received the psychological intervention based on Rosenthal effect. The hope level and self-management ability of the two groups of patients before intervention and after six months of follow-up were compared. Results:Before intervention, there was no significant difference in the hope level and self-management ability between the two groups ( P>0.05) . After six months of follow-up, the scores of hope and self-management ability of the two groups were higher than those before intervention, and those of the experimental group were higher than those the control group, with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Psychological intervention based on Rosenthal effect can help enhance the hope level in esophageal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and improve the patients' self-management ability.
