Abstract:
Objective:To develop the Orthopedic Nurses' Prevention of Prosthesis Dislocation after Total Hip Arthroplasty Scale based on the knowledge, attitude and practice model, and to test its reliability and validity. Methods:Guided by the theory of knowledge, attitude and practice, on the basis of the establishment of a research group, literature review, expert consultation and pre-investigation, the Orthopedic Nurses' Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Scale for Prevention of Prosthesis Dislocation after Total Hip Arthroplasty was formed. From October 16, 2019 to March 15, 2020, 272 orthopedic nurses from 15 hospitals in Shenzhen were selected for survey by convenience sampling. Exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency test and other methods were used to test the reliability and validity of the scale. Results:The Orthopedic Nurses' Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Scale for Prevention of Prosthesis Dislocation after Total Hip Arthroplasty included 3 dimensions of knowledge, attitude and practice, with a total of 32 items. Four common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 57.206%. The Cronbach's α coefficients of the three dimensions of knowledge, attitude, and practice were 0.976, 0.897, and 0.956, the test-retest reliability coefficients were 0.701, 0.852 and 0.903, and the content validity index were 0.89, 0.91 and 0.93, respectively. Conclusions:The Orthopedic Nurses' Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Scale for Prevention of Prosthesis Dislocation after Total Hip Arthroplasty has good reliability and validity, and can be used as an evaluation tool for nurses' knowledge, attitude, and practice survey on prosthesis dislocation after total hip arthroplasty.
