Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of nursing based on Watson humanistic care theory in elderly patients with severe fractures. Methods:From June 2018 to June 2020, convenience sampling was used to select 92 elderly patients with severe fractures in the ICU of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital as the research object. According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was given the nursing based on Watson humanistic care theory. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) were used to compared the pain and quality of life of the two groups of patients. Results:Before intervention, there were no significant differences in VAS and WHOQOL-BREF scores between the two groups ( P>0.05) . After the intervention, the VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the WHOQOL-BREF scores were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Nursing based on Watson humanistic care theory can relieve the pain and improve the quality of life of elderly patients with severe fractures, which is worthy of clinical application.
