Abstract:
With the popularization and application of peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) , the problem of medical adhesive-related skin injury around the catheter has become increasingly prominent. Medical adhesive-related skin injuries not only cause pain, but severe cases may also cause unplanned extubation, affecting the quality of life of patients, and increasing the cost of catheter maintenance. This article reviewed the risk factors and prevention and control measures of medical adhesive-related skin injury around PICC catheters, so as to provide a basis for clinical identification and prevention of such skin injuries.
