Abstract: Gratitude is of great significance to the physical and mental health of patients with chronic diseases and the improvement of their quality of life. This paper summarized concept, related theories, measurement tools, intervention strategies and effect evaluation of gratitude, aiming to improve the understanding of gratitude among nursing staff in China, provide references for the research of gratitude in the field of chronic diseases and promote the further application of gratitude theory in clinical nursing of patients with chronic disease in China.
