Abstract:
Objective:To explore the experience of care benefit and main influencing factors in the spouses of elderly stroke patients in community, so as to provide a reference for improving the benefit of community stroke caregivers and improving the quality of community nursing.Methods:This study adopted the phenomenological method of qualitative research. Using the objective sampling method, a total of 14 spouse caregivers of stroke patients were selected as the research objects from November 2019 to January 2020. Semi-structured interviews were used to deeply explore the experience of care benefit and influencing factors in the spouses of elderly stroke patients in the community. Colaizzi phenomenological research method was used to analyze the data.Results:There was a sense of care benefit in the spouses of elderly stroke patients in the community, which could be summarized into the following four themes: personal growth and change, promoting the formation of a healthy family, promoting factors of care benefit, and hindering factors of care benefit.Conclusions:The spouses of elderly stroke patients in the community can experience the sense of care benefit from their spouse's illness experience, which is affected by many factors. Community medical staff should deeply explore the sense of care benefit in the spouses of elderly stroke patients in community, so as to promote the physical and mental health of stroke patients and their spouses.
