Abstract:
Objective:To translate the English version of the Patients on Hemodialysis Resilience Scale (PHRS) into Chinese, and test the validity and reliability of the Chinese version. Methods:Brislin model was used to translate, back-translate and cross-culturally adapt the PHRS to form the Chinese version of PHRS. From September to November 2020, convenience sampling was used to select 210 patients undergoing hemodialysis in the Blood Purification Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University to conduct a questionnaire survey to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale. Results:The scale-level content validity index of the Chinese version of the PHRS was 0.972, and the item-level content validity index was from 0.861 to 1.000. Exploratory factor analysis extracted 4 common factors, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 68.581%. The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total scale was 0.912, and the Cronbach's α coefficients of the four common factors were 0.762, 0.813, 0.889, 0.781, respectively, and the test-retest reliability was 0.915. The correlation coefficient between the Chinese version of PHRS and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) was 0.873, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.001) . Conclusions:The Chinese version of the PHRS has good reliability and validity, and can be used to evaluate the psychological resilience of Chinese hemodialysis patients.
