Abstract:
This article aims to describe the current status of the research content and methods on caregivers at home and abroad participating in the prevention and management of venous thromboembolism (VTE) . This article searched the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) , Wanfang Chinese database, PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CINAHL English database from the establishment of the database to October 26, 2020, and screens out relevant research. A total of 9 articles were included. The disease population includes orthopedics, internal medicine bedridden, neurosurgery and peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) patients. Through qualitative and quantitative research methods, researches focus on two aspects, namely the current status of the caregivers' cognitive and behavioral level of VTE-related knowledge and the implementation of preventive measures taken. The role of caregivers in the prevention and management of VTE has attracted the attention of domestic and foreign scholars, and there are related studies. The effectiveness and the feasibility of caregivers' participation have been initially confirmed, but related research is still in its infancy. There is an urgent need to expand the research direction, conduct in-depth clinical research, explore the role of caregivers in VTE prevention and management, and promote the sustainable development of the VTE prevention and management.
