Abstract:
Objective:To explore the current status and influencing factors of phlebitis in hospitalized children in China, so as to provide an evidence for the prevention of phlebitis in children. Methods:From April to May 2019, convenience sampling was used to select 10 094 hospitalized children from 100 hospitals in 27 provincial units nationwide as the research object. A cross-sectional survey was conducted using the National Questionnaire on Pediatric Safe Infusion Nursing-Patient Version designed by the National Intravenous Infusion Improvement Project Team. χ 2 test and Logistic regression were used to analyze the related factors of phlebitis. 10 024 valid questionnaires were recovered, the effective recovery rate was 99.3%. Results:The incidence of phlebitis in hospitalized children was 0.28% (28/10 024) . Logistic regression results showed that, connection to the connector for infusion, and the accumulation of blood and exudate in the dressing were the influencing factors for the occurrence of phlebitis in hospitalized children ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The incidence of phlebitis in hospitalized children in China is relatively low. Clinical nurses should avoid infusion connected to a connector, and pay attention to the influencing factors such as blood leakage in the dressing, and take active prevention and control measures.
