Abstract:
Objective:To study how to construct the preoperative diet management mode of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) based on process management theory, and the application effect of the new model in clinical practice. Methods:By convenience sampling method, 120 patients of colorectal surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from November 2018 to February 2019 were selected as the control group, and were treated with routine fasting and water deprivation management plan. A total of 118 patients from May to September 2019 were selected as the test group, and the new preoperative diet management process was used to guide nurses to prepare for preoperative fasting and water deprivation. The implementation effect of preoperative diet management and the satisfaction of patients and nurses to the process were evaluated. Results:The actual preoperative fasting time of the experimental group was (6.53±0.86) hours, and the time of water deprivation was (2.74±0.76) hours, which were both significantly shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( t=20.85, 36.31; P< 0.01) . The satisfaction of patients in the experimental group to the new process was (98.03±1.81) , and the satisfaction of nursing staff was (98.47±1.42) , which were both higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( t=-33.57, -13.29; P<0.01) . Conclusions:The ERAS preoperative diet management model based on process management theory can provide reasonable and effective work path, improve the preoperative discomfort experience and patient satisfaction.
