Correlation between instructional leadership and knowledge management capability of clinical nursing teachers

Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the current status of instructional leadership and knowledge management capability of clinical nursing teachers and to analyze the correlation between them.Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, a total of 210 clinical nursing teachers from a ClassⅢ Grade A hospital were selected as research objects from July to September 2019. The General Data Questionnaire, Teachers' Instructional Leadership Scale and Knowledge Management Questionnaire were used to investigate them. A total of 210 questionnaires were distributed in this survey and 200 valid questionnaires were collected.Results:The total score of Instructional Leadership Scale of 200 clinical nursing teachers was (143.51±18.79) , and the total score of Knowledge Management Questionnaire was (108.33±13.80) . Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of instruction leadership of clinical nursing teachers was positively correlated with the total score of knowledge management capability ( r=0.663, P<0.05) . Conclusions:The instruction leadership and knowledge management capability of clinical nursing teachers are at a medium level. Nursing managers should pay attention to the training of knowledge management capability of clinical nursing teachers, promote the effective realization of teaching goals and improve instruction leadership.
