Abstract:
Objective:To explore the correlation between family caregiver burden and coping style of children with bronchial asthma. Methods:From May 2017 to May 2018, convenience sampling was used to select 90 family caregivers of children with asthma who visited Tangshan Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital as the research subject. The survey was conducted with the General Demographic Information Questionnaire, Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview (ZBI) and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. Results:A total of 90 questionnaires were distributed and 80 valid questionnaires were returned. Among 80 caregivers of children with asthma, the total score of ZBI was (38.05±18.78) . The scores of positive and negative coping style were (19.32±4.75) and (9.58±2.42) respectively. Univariate analysis showed that the influencing factors for the burden of family caregivers of children with asthma included the severity of the child's condition, the number of hospitalizations, the use of hormones in the past month, the payment method of medical expenses, and the education level of family caregivers with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . The total ZBI score of caregivers of children with asthma was negatively correlated with positive coping style ( P<0.05) , and positively correlated with negative coping style ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The burden of family caregivers of children with asthma is mostly mild and moderate, and caregivers should be guided to adopt positive coping style to face the pressure during nursing care.
