Abstract:
Objective:To analyze effects of personal character and occupational values of psychiatric nurses on job burnout. Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, 150 nurses from the psychiatric department in general hospital and psychiatric hospital of Zhengzhou from May 2019 to July 2019 were selected as the research objects. Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Short Scale for Chinese (EPQ-RSC) , Nursing Professional Values Scale-Revised (NPVS-R) AND Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) used to conduct a questionnaire survey among 150 psychiatric nurses. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between EPQ-RSC, NPVS-R and MBI-GS, and multiple regression analysis was used to determine the factors affecting the job burnout of psychiatric nurses.Results:EPQ-RSC scores of psychiatric nurses for neuroticism, introversion and extraversion, psychoticism and concealment were (48.52±5.36) , (53.32±10.02) , (50.23±4.85) and (45.36±6.32) , respectively. The total score of NPVS-R was (91.91±14.32) . The scores of emotional exhaustion, cynicism and low sense of accomplishment in MBI-GS were respectively (26.12±4.02) , (12.01±3.51) and (15.32±3.35) .The psychoticism and neuroticism scores in EPQ-RSC of psychiatric nurses were positively correlated with the emotional exhaustion and cynicism scores in MBI-GS, and negatively correlated with the depression scores ( P<0.01) . The introversion and extraversion scores in EPQ-RSC were negatively correlated with emotional exhaustion and cynicism scores in MBI-GS, and positively correlated with the low sense of accomplishment score ( P<0.01) . The total score of NPVS-R was negatively correlated with the emotional exhaustion and cynicism scores in MBI-GS, and positively correlated with the low sense of achievement score ( P<0.001) . Multiple linear regression analysis showed that psychoticism, introversion and extroversion and neuroticism scores in EPQ-RSC and NPVS-R score were the influencing factors of job burnout of psychiatric nurses ( P<0.01) . Conclusions:The personal character and occupational values of psychiatric nurses are obviously related to job burnout, which are related factors that affect job burnout.
