Abstract:
Objective:To explore effects of clinical nursing pathway based on enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) in patients with adrenal tumor. Methods:Totally 60 patients with adrenal tumor admitted in the Department of Urinary Surgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University from April to September 2019 were selected by convenient sampling and divided into the control group ( n=30) and the research group ( n=30) according to the random number table. Patients in the control group received routine care, while patients in the research group underwent clinical nursing pathways based on ERAS. The postoperative recovery status (time of first drinking after operation, time to get out of bed, time of exhaust, length of hospital stay, and duration of drainage tube indwelling) , postoperative pain and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:The time of first drinking, time to get out of bed, time of exhaust, length of hospital stay, and duration of drainage tube indwelling in the research group were shorter than those in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( P<0.05) ; the pain score on postoperative days 1 and 3 in the research group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( P<0.05) ; the satisfaction score of the research group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The clinical nursing pathways based on ERAS, when applied to patients with adrenal tumor, can promote the recovery of patients from surgery, shorten the postoperative hospital stay, reduce patient pain, and improve patient satisfaction.
