Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the status quo of the core competence of pediatric nurses in Chengdu and analyze its influencing factors so as to provide references for the training of pediatric nursing talents.Methods:From September to October 2019, 956 pediatric nurses from 36 hospitals in Chengdu municipal district were selected as research objects by cluster sampling. The core competence evaluation index system of pediatric nurses was used to investigate them.Results:The total mean score of core competence of pediatric nurses in Chengdu was (4.23±0.35) , the highest score of professional attitude ability was (4.62±0.09) , and the lowest score of professional development ability was (3.87±0.64) . Multiple linear regression analysis showed that educational background and professional title were influencing factors of the core competence of pediatric nurses ( P<0.01) . Conclusions:The core competence of pediatric nurses in Chengdu is at a relatively high level, and the professional development competence still needs to be strengthened. Nursing managers should intervene in influencing factors to comprehensively improve the core competence of pediatric nurses.
