Abstract:
Objective:To construct a scientific research training model for undergraduate nursing students based on the experiential learning theory, and test its effects on improving the scientific research ability of undergraduate nursing students. Methods:From 2019 to 2020, totally 54 undergraduate nursing students admitted into a university in 2016 were selected as self-controls by cluster sampling, and investigated with a self-rating scale for research ability of nursing staff before and 8 months after they participated in the experiential learning, and the differences in their scientific research ability scores were compared. Results:There were statistically significant differences in problem discovery ability [ (9.43±1.37) vs. (3.96±0.93) ], literature review ability [ (16.24±1.64) vs. (7.89±1.53) ], scientific research design ability [ (13.96±2.00) vs. (7.09±1.40) ], scientific research practice ability [ (12.78±1.49) vs. (8.16±1.45) ], data processing ability [ (12.78±1.49) vs. (6.59±1.21) ], paper writing ability [ (17.41±2.31) vs. (8.28±1.46) ] among the undergraduate nursing students before and after the experiential learning ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The experiential scientific research training model can promote the scientific research ability of undergraduate nursing students.
