Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of emergency psychological guidance on the fear of patients waiting for surgery. Methods:A total of 129 patients waiting for surgery in the waiting area of the Operating Room of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital from June 2019 to September 2019 were selected. In the absence of interference, a self-made questionnaire for patients' fear of surgery was filled in, and chat emergency psychological guidance was conducted based on patients' subjective feelings and fear performance. When patients left the waiting area, the questionnaire was filled out again without interference. The operative fear of patients before and after psychological guidance was compared. Results:Before the intervention, the proportion of 129 patients waiting for surgery who were very afraid was 10.85% (14/129) , and after psychological guidance, it dropped to 3.10% (4/129) . The difference before and after intervention was statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:When conditions permit, psychological guidance for patients waiting for surgery can help alleviate the fear of them.
