Abstract:
Objective:To explore the current status and influencing factors of quality of life among relatives of patients with hereditary colorectal cancer. Methods:From December 2016 to May 2018, we selected 278 blood relative caregivers of inpatients with hereditary colorectal cancer of Colorectal Department at a ClassⅢ Grade A hospital in Guangzhou as the research objects by convenience sampling. All caregivers were investigated with the self-designed General Information Questionnaire and the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) . A total of 278 questionnaires were distributed, 274 were recovered and 274 were valid. Results:Among 274 blood relatives of patients with hereditary colorectal cancer, the score of quality of life (QOL) was (83.49±11.88) . Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of QOL of blood relatives of patients with hereditary colorectal cancer included the family monthly income per person, chronic diseases, marital status and number of cancer patients among blood relatives with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:QOL of relatives of patients with hereditary colorectal cancer needs to be improved. Medical and nursing staff should pay attention to relatives of hereditary colorectal cancer patients with low family income, chronic diseases, unmarried and a large number of cancer patients in the family, and take target nursing intervention to improve their QOL.
