Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effects of hospice care on the treatment compliance and psychological status of patients with malignant tumors. Methods:Totally 120 patients with advanced malignant tumors hospitalized in the Department of Oncology of Hangzhou Third Hospital from June 2016 to May 2018 were selected by convenient sampling, and randomly divided into a control group and a research group, with 60 patients in each group. Patients in the control group received routine care, while patients in the research group received hospice care on this basis. The treatment compliance were compared between the two groups, and Self-Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Depression Scale (SDS) were employed to compare the psychological status of the two groups before and after intervention. Results:The total compliance rate was 91.67% (55/60) in the research group and 78.33% (47/60) in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ 2=4.183, P<0.05) . After intervention, the SAS and SDS scores of the research group were (54.22±4.05) and (56.15±4.11) , lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( t=12.903 and 9.864; P<0.01) . Conclusions:Hospice care can improve the patients' treatment compliance and relieve their anxiety and depression.
