Application of evidence-based nursing in weight management of patients with chronic heart failure

Abstract:
Objective:To explore the role of evidence-based nursing in weight management of patients with chronic heart failure.Methods:By convenient sampling method, a total of 81 patients with chronic heart failure who were admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from March 2018 to October 2019 were selected as research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group ( n=40) and the observation group ( n=41) . The control group was given routine nursing while the observation group was given evidence-based nursing. Nutritional status, weight management behavior ability and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:After intervention, the serum total protein (TP) , albumin (ALB) and prealbumin (PA) levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.01) . After intervention, scores of all dimensions and the total scores of weight management behavior ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P< 0.01) .The satisfaction scores of patients in the observation group on the service attitude, skill operation level, body mass index (BMI) control effect and quality of home care of medical staff were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P< 0.01) . Conclusions:Evidence-based nursing can effectively improve the nutritional status and satisfaction of patients with chronic heart failure and enhance weight management behavior ability, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
