Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of life skills and social skills training on the living ability and social function of patients with schizophrenia.Methods:A total of 86 patients with schizophrenia who were admitted and treated from April 2018 to April 2019 were selected in the Second People's Hospital of Chuzhou as research objects by the convenience sampling. They were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table, with 43 patients in each group. The control group was given drug maintenance therapy combined with general rehabilitation activities while the observation group was given systematic life and social skills training on the basis of drug maintenance therapy. After 12 weeks, scores of the Positive and Negative Symptom Scale (PANSS) , Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Scale and Scale of Social Function in Psychosis Inpatients (SSPI) were compared between the two groups.Results:After intervention, PANSS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group in all dimensions, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The ADL score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( P<0.05) . After intervention, SSPI scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group in all dimensions, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Life and social skills training can significantly improve the mental symptoms of patients with schizophrenia and improve their daily living ability and social functions, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
