Abstract:
Objective? To analyze the demands of caregivers for layered training content in care institutions for the aged in Shanxi so as to provide a basis for the layered training for caregivers in care institutions for the aged. Methods? From January to September 2017, we selected 1 390 caregivers of care institutions for the aged in Shaanxi province as subjects by convenience sampling. The self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the demands of caregivers with different characteristics and training experience for layered training content. Results? There were statistical differences in the demands of caregivers with different ages and education levels for training content including life care, humanistic care, laws and regulations, emergency care, psychological care and nursing management (P<0.05). There were statistical differences in the demands of caregivers with different incomes and certificates for training content including primary care, humanistic care, laws and regulations, emergency care and psychological care (P<0.05). There were also statistical differences in the demands of caregivers with different training experience for training content including life care, humanistic care, laws and regulations, emergency care, psychological care and nursing management (P<0.05). Conclusions? Care institutions for the aged should provide the targeted layered training for caregivers based on their education levels, working lives, incomes, certificates and training experience to promote the development of caregivers for the aged.
