Abstract:
Objective To investigate the status of post-traumatic growth in patients with early primary liver cancer (PLC) and its influencing factors.Methods From June 2015 to June 2017, a total of 102 patients with early PLC in the First Hospital of Jilin University were selected as research subjects by convenience sampling method. The general data questionnaire, Post-Traumatic Growth Scale and Perceived Social Support Scale were used to investigate the patients. Thet-test, variance analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of post-traumatic growth of patients after early PLC operation. Results A total of 106 questionnaires were distributed, and 102 valid questionnaires were collected. The total post-traumatic growth score was (50.21±6.87) points. There were significant differences in the scores of post-traumatic growth of patients after early PLC with different gender, education level, family monthly income, payment method of medical expenses, whether there were complications, whether there were radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and perceived social support level (P<0.05). The gender, presence of complications, whether receiving chemotherapy and social support were the main factors influencing post-traumatic growth. Conclusions The post-traumatic growth of patients with early PLC is at a moderate level and may be affected by many factors. Medical staff should strengthen the guidance and communication to patients, give more social support to patients, and improve the growth level of patients after trauma, according to the specific conditions of patients after PLC operation.
