Abstract:
Objective To establish the WeChat platform of transitional care for the puerperal period,and to evaluate the application effect of the platform in improving neonatal care ability of primipara.Methods A total of 300 cases of primipara after spontaneous labor in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from September 2016 to September 2017 were selected as the research subjects.All the subjects were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method,with 150 cases in each group.During hospitalization,two groups of primipara received one-on-one health education.After discharge,the control group received the health guidance by telephone follow-up.The observation group received transitional care from WeChat platform.The neonatal growth status 42 days after delivery and the breast-feeding in 6 months were compared between the two groups.Results The duration of neonatal jaundice and umbilical cord separation in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in umbilical cord infection between the two groups (P＞0.05).There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in neonatal care knowledge and breastfeeding rate at 6 months after delivery (P＜0.05).Conclusions Transitional care based on WeChat platform can improve newborn care ability of primipara and promote breastfeeding,which is worthy of clinical application.
