Abstract:
Objective To investigate the status of social participation in patients with colorectal cancer and its influencing factors.Methods A total of 160 colorectal cancer patients hospitalized in the General Surgery Department of Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital for medical reviewed 3 months after radical surgery from May 2017 to January 2018 were selected as the research subjects by purposive sampling method.A general data questionnaire,Impact on Participation and Autonomy (IPA) and Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) were applied in the investigation.Results The total score of IPA of the postoperative patients with colorectal cancer was (57.64±7.52).Patient's living status,family monthly income,complications,enterostomy and social support were the main factors affecting the level of social participation of colorectal cancer patients (P<0.05).Conclusions The overall level of social participation in colorectal cancer patients after surgery is as a moderate level.Medical staff should pay attention to this situation,and take more targeted interventions according to the specific conditions of patients,improve the level of social participation of patients,improve the quality of life of patients.
