Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of clinical psychic care on the physical and mental state of the elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer. Methods From June 2016 to June 2017,a total of 90 cases of elderly inpatients with advanced gastric cancer in the Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected by convenience sampling method.According to the random number table, all the research subjects were divided into the observation group and the control group, with 45 cases in each. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given clinical psychic care on the basis of the control group. The negative emotions(anxiety, depression, fear),physical state and quality of life of the patients were compared with Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Visual Analogue Scale for Fear(FAVS),Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS),Performance Status(PS)and Cancer 30-item Quality of Life(QLQ-C30)between the two groups. Results There was no statistical significance in the difference of negative emotion, physical state and quality of life between the two groups before intervention(P > 0.05).After the intervention, the scores of HAMA,HAMD and FAVS of the two groups were lower than those before the intervention. In addition, the scores of the observation group was lower than those of the control group, with statistical difference(P < 0.05).The KPS score of the two groups was higher than that before the intervention, and the PS score was lower than that beforethe intervention. The KPS score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, while PS score was lower in the control group. All the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).After intervention, the scores of general health status, physical function, emotional function and social function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the scores of pain, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, loss of appetite and insomnia in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions The use of clinical psychic care in elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer can obviously improve the mental state, physical state and quality of life of the patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
