Abstract:
Since the winter of 2017, the influenza activity in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere has continued to rise. The influenza activities in southern and northern provinces of China are at the peak of winter epidemic. The outbreak of a local influenza has put tremendous pressure on medical institutions. To achieve effective response, we need to understand the hazards and the burden of influenza first. Because influenza is not "cold." This article reviews the epidemic forms, complications, high risk population, treatment and prevention of influenza. In the influenza epidemic season, medical institutions are places where flu patients gathered. Only early comprehensive interventions such as early diagnosis and treatment and hospital infection control can reduce the severe cases, hospitalization, deaths and the risk of transmission.
