Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of core competence based training mode in neurosurgical specialized nurses. Methods From December 2014 to February 2017, a total of 66 nurses who were trained in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School were selected as the research subjects by purposive sampling method. The nurses were trained according to the core competence based neurosurgical specialized nurse training mode. The written examination, nursing practice assessment and core competencies of the nurses were compared before and after training. Results The results of written examination and nursing practice assessment were both statistically significantly higher than before training (P<0.001). The scores of all dimensions of core competence were improved after training, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.001). Conclusions Core competence based training mode in neurosurgical specialized nurses is clear targeted with remarkable effects, which promotes the professional development of neurosurgical nursing.
