Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of interval comfort nursing measure in protective restraint for manic patients in Department of Neurosurgery. Methods From January 2014 to July 2016, a total of 86 manic patients with protective restraint in the department of neurosurgery of Huai'an First People's Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University were selected as the research object by purposive sampling method. All of them were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group according to the random table method, 43 cases in each group. The patients of control group were treated with conventional protective measures. On the basis of the conventional protective restraint, the patients of intervention group adopted the interval comfortable nursing measures. We compared the incidence of unplanned extubation in the two groups and compared the difference between the two groups in terms of the restraint effect and the satisfaction degree of comfort care among doctor, nurse and patient. Results The incidence of unplanned extubation in the intervention group (11.63%) was significantly lower than that of control group (53.68%)(P<0.05). The incidence of incomplete skin, poor peripheral blood flow, restraint band breaking and the restraint time in intervention group were lower than those of control group (P<0.05). The comfort, family satisfaction and nurse satisfaction of the intervention group were higher than those of the control group (P <0.05).Conclusions The interval comfort nursing can reduce unplanned extubation rate of patients with manic disorder in department of neurosurgery, improve skin integrity, promote peripheral blood flow, reduce constraint time and perfect patient's satisfaction.
