Abstract:
Objective To summarize the changes of conditions and nursing experience on immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) among 11 HIV/AIDS patients during highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART).Methods A total of 11 HIV/AIDS patients diagnosed and treated at Zhejiang Youth Hospital were selected from February 2012 to March 2017. This nursing care included enhancing the condition observation among patients in the early HAART, carrying out mental and behavior nursing well, paying attention to condition education, improving treatment compliance, emphasizing medication nursing, completing basic nursing well, preventing the nursing related complications and avoiding occupational exposure.Results The treatment compliance of 10 in 11 patients with IRIS improved along with satisfactory treatment effect after receiving hormone plus, HAART, psychological-cognitive-behavioral nursing and so on. There was one patient who died along with adults respiratory distress syndrome, acute renal failure and incorrigible acidosis because pulmonary infection could not be controlled.Conclusions Nursing care play an important role in IRIS among HIV/AIDS patients with HAART. It is worth to be used widely in clinical application.
