Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of precautionary nursing on preventing adverse effects (i.e. fever, headache, nausea/vomit) of recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) injections in patients with femoral head necrosis.Methods Eighty patients with femoral head necrosis who received autologous stem cell transplantation and rhG-CSF in Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM from June 2015 to March 2016 were selected into this study using convenience sampling. According to the random number table, the participants were divided into the intervention group (n=40) and the control group (n=40). Based on the conventional nursing care, the intervention group received additional predictive and targeted nursing intervention. The incidence of adverse drug reaction was compared between two groups.Results The intervention group found significantly fewer cases that had headache (2 vs. 9 cases), fever (4 vs. 13 cases), and nausea/vomit (9 vs. 23 cases) compared with the control group (χ2=5.165, 6.050, 10.208;P<0.05).Conclusions The precautionary nursing intervention can significantly relieve the adverse drug reaction of rhG-CSF and may benefit the stem cell transplantation in patients with femoral head necrosis.
