Abstract: Transarterial chemoembolization is the first choice for patients with advanced stage liver cancer who are not apt for surgical resection. In clinical practice, rare and serious complications occur occasionally, and bile duct injury is one of the complications after transarterial chemoembolization. Therefore, understanding its mechanism and high-risk factors can reduce the occurrence of bile duct injury, and early detection and treatment can significantly improve the prognosis. This article summarizes the clinical research progress of bile duct injury in hepatocellular carcinoma after transarterial chemoembolization.
