The cognition of patients who received13C urea breath examination in four dimensions of Hp related knowledge was not high, and the average value was 51.3%. The highest cognition (80.1%) was in the item of " I need review after the course of treatment" ; the lowest cognition (22.6%) was in the item of "drinking unboiled water may be infected with Hp". There were significant differences in Hp related knowledge among people with different educational backgrounds and the number of times examined (P<0.05).Conclusions The average cognition of the Hp related knowledge of the patients who received13C urea breath examination is not high. There are differences in the level of knowledge in patients with different education level and the times of check. It is necessary to carry out individualized health education for patients receiving examinations, and the guidance and propaganda of prevention and treatment of Hp infection should be strengthened so as to promote the formation of healthy behaviors.
