Study on establishment of a standardized vocational training model for primary and secondary nursing staff with Delphi method

Abstract:
Objective To establish a standardized vocational training model for primary and secondary nursing staff.Methods In January 2014, a preliminary framework of standardized vocational training model for primary and secondary nursing staff was established by literature reference and interview, with 15 experts in nursing education, clinical nursing and pension management consulted. The consultation results were then analyzed with SPSS 17.0.Results The positivity coefficient for the two rounds of consultation was 0.88 and 1.00, respectively, and the average authority score was 0.86. After the two rounds of consultation, totally 6 modules for the standardized vocational training model for primary and secondary nursing staff were found, including professional ethics, basic knowledge, life care, basic nursing, rehabilitation nursing and psychological nursing, in additional to 18 course contents.Conclusions The experts involved in the study are positive, typical and authoritative; the training model established with Delphi method is viable, workable and practical, serving the purpose of standardized vocational training for primary and secondary nursing staff.
