Abstract:
NACHT-LRR-PYD-containing proteins 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome regulates the maturation and secretion of proinflammatory cytokines including interleukin-1β and interleukin-18,as well as immune and inflammatory response, through the activation of cysteine aspartate specific protease-1.Inflammatory response caused by the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome may participate in the development and progression of nonalcoholic fatty fiver disease (NAFLD).Therefore, exploration of the role ofNLRP3 inflammasome in NAFLD is important for the understanding of the pathogenesis of NAFLD and discovery of new therapeutic targets.
