Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of home rehabilitation manual on rehabilitation of patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Methods A total of 118 cases of patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group from May 2014 to May 2015, with 56 cases in the intervention group and 62 cases in the control group. Patients in the control group received routine discharge guidance and follow-up, while patients in the intervention group, received an assessement on nursing problems by Omaha system 1 d before discharge. We made home rehabilitation manuals according to problems, and provided systemic professional guidance from their diet and activities, use of crutch and leg holder, the intervention of pain and swelling, the neuro-musculo-skeletal function training, and the nursing management of anxiety and sleeping disorders. The rehabilitation effect in two groups before surgery and 12 weeks after surgery were compared by Lysholm score. The improving effect of main nursing problems in knowledge, behavior and situation 1 d before discharge, and 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks after surgery between two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the knee joint Lysholm score before surgery ( P>0.05) . 12 weeks after surgery, the Lysholm score of the intervention group was (72.83±1.95), and it was (71.35±2.13) of the control group (t=3.792,P<0.05). After surgery, the score of knowledge, behavior, situation about the problems of pain, neuro-musculo-skeletal function, personal care, physical activity, sleep and rest patters were all increaseing with the prolonged of time, and the score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group ( P<0. 05 ) . Conclusions Home rehabilitation manual can improve the score of knowledge, behavior and situation about the main nursing problems of patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. It also can raise the Lysholm score of patients, and promote the rehabilitation.
