Abstract: Objective To find a suitable health education model for outpatients in department of stomatology based on the application of PDCA circulation theory.Methods A total of 150 outpatients were randomly selected to answer the self-designed questionnaire about the health education needs of outpatients in the department of stomatology.Targeted health education plan was made according to the survey results,and 100 patients among 150 patients who participated in the survey were selected as the observation group.Another 100 outpatients who received routine health education were randomly selected as the control group.Patients in two groups all received health knowledge question-answer investigation after education.Results The awareness of oral health knowledge in the observation group was obviously higher than that in the control group (Z=6.534,P＜ 0.01).Conclusions The PDCA circulation theory can be applied into oral health education,and we find that different forms of health education for patients with different age and culture can obtain the best effect.
